Anderlecht gets invitation for Super League

OTHER The Super League, a new European soccer competition, has been given the green light by the European Court of Justice. This competition will not be organized by UEFA, but by A22 Sports Management. In this open competition, 64 clubs would participate in a system somewhat similar to that of the Nations League for country teams. One of the clubs that would have received an invitation according to Mundo Sportivo is Anderlecht.


At Anderlecht, they would have ears for the competition, although it is a bit strange that Purple and White was chosen because the competition would rely on sporting results. And Anderlecht has not achieved those in recent years (except for last season in Europe), either domestically or in Europe.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are proponents of the concept. Germany and England are absolutely against it. PSV, Feyenoord and Portuguese clubs would also have received invitations.
