Selection: Hazard and striker Ure present against Cercle

GAMES Anderlecht has just released a selection of twenty players for tonight's match against Cercle Brugge. As expected, Jan Vertonghen is not one of them. Thorgan Hazard and Robbie Ure will be in the squad. For the Scottish striker it is his first selection for the first team.


Vertonghen is out with an ankle injury. Other absentees include Moussa N'Diaye, Amadou Diawara, Alexis Flips and Benito Raman.

Hazard is relieved of his knee problems and the flu. Scot Ure transferred from Glasgow Rangers' reserves at the beginning of September. With the Futures, he has already accounted for five goals and two assists in 10 games this season. With his selection, Brian Riemer may be anticipating a possible absence of Vazquez in January and early February. There is a good chance he will be called up for the Argentine Olympic squad, which will then play an Olympic qualifying tournament.
