No Lissens against Union due to injury

INJURIES Lucas Lissens will not be Jan Vertonghen's replacement tonight. The rock of the Futures injured himself on training camp in Tunisia. "It's not a major injury, but unfortunately he won't get fit in time for thr game against Union," coach Brian Riemer said.


"Lissens suffered a minor muscle injury," Riemer told his press conference this afternoon. "He is already back on the field, but is not yet fully fit. Later this week, next week at the latest, he will return to full training."

Doesn't Riemer get discouraged by all the injuries to his defenders? "I'm not complaining about that. That's just part of soccer. When something falls away, another opportunity opens up. We still have a strong selection."
