Reserve goalkeeper Man. City linked to Anderlecht

TRANSFERS According to German journalist Florian Plettenberg, Anderlecht is showing interest in Stefan Ortega, Manchester City's 31-year-old second goalkeeper. Ortega is still under contract with the Citizens until mid-2025, but a departure this summer would be a possibility.


City would like to extend Ortega's contract, but negotiations are deadlocked. A departure this summer would therefore be an option. "Anderlecht and other clubs are interested," Plettenberg writes.

Ortega is in his second season with Manchester City. Before that, he played for Bielefeld in the Bundesliga. This season he played nine duels for City, including two in the Premier League and two in the Champions League.
