15-year-old Verstrepen signs pro contract

TRANSFERS Rune Verstrepen has signed his first professional contract, until mid-2027, with Anderlecht. The 15-year-old Verstrepen is a midfielder who is part of purple-white's U15 squad. ‘His coaches have always seen his insight and the intensity of his game as great assets,' the club's website reads.


‘Rune is a dynamic midfielder with many qualities,' says Mikkel Hemmersam, the academy's director. ‘He has shown that he is a very professional player who works hard every day. We are happy to reward him with this vote of confidence. We look forward to following his progress at the club.'

Verstrepen moved from KV Mechelen to Anderlecht three years ago.
