OTHER Kasper Schmeichel feels no extra pressure despite the chance to become champions this weekend. He stresses the importance of keeping focus. ‘The team is determined to win every game' and the goalkeeper is therefore hoping for a good performance against Bruges. ‘The support of the supporters will be crucial in the upcoming match,' he echoes.
Despite some absent players, Schmeichel believes the team can adapt and beat Bruges. In doing so, Schmeichel also praises the role of coach Brian Riemer.
The Anderlecht lock also has a special mention for Colin Coosemans: ‘The role of backup goalkeeper is thankless but Colin did a fantastic job twice when he played against Cercle.'
‘A goalkeeper not only has to stop balls but also plays a role in building the game. And in that I grew this year at Anderlecht anyway.'
‘Now I want to become champion with Anderlecht, my future plans later will be decided,' he concluded.
