GAMES Anderlecht suffered a 0-1 defeat against Club Bruges, causing them to drop to third place in the standings and putting their title hopes in serious jeopardy. The match was decided by Odoi's goal on a corner in the 28th minute, with Anderlecht struggling to create chances throughout the game. Despite some small attempts, Anderlecht failed to equalize before the break. The second half saw Bruges comfortably maintain their lead, with Anderlecht unable to mount a serious challenge.

Augustinsson did the same in the second half but his header was too weak. That way, Bruges' solid defense prevented the Mauves to take control over the game. Meanwhile, the home side had to be careful for Bruges' sharp counter attacks: Schmeichel kept Jugtla from a second goal and Vetlessen hit the crossbar. In the dying minutes of the match, Bruges missed twice before an open goal.
Anderlecht's slim hopes for the title now rest on a series of unlikely outcomes in the final matches of the season. The third place becomes more likely...
