Competition for Casteels from Scotland

TRANSFERS Not just Anderlecht, but also Scottish side Celtic Glasgow are said to be considering Koen Casteels as a goalkeeper for next season. So writes the English newspaper Daily Mail. Celtic sees in Casteels a possible successor to Joe Hart, who stops playing football.


At Anderlecht, Casteels is an option if Kasper Schmeichel does not extend his expiring contract. Dane Mads Kikkenborg, who arrived in winter, does not currently look ready to be first goalkeeper.

Casteels' contract at Wolfsburg expires in June, so he will be free to sign elsewhere this summer.
