Official: Vincent Kompany to Bayern Munich

TRANSFERS It was at first some wild rumor, but then it seemed to contain much more truth and now it is official: Vincent Kompany is the new coach of the German top club Bayern Munich. Bayern had a bad season in which it did not win a prize for once. Although Kompany was not the first choice, Bayern ultimately paid a famous buyout fee to Burnley to acquire Kompany.


Kompany signed until 2027. Despite the relegation with Burnley, Bayern still opts for Kompany, who was promoted with flying colors and became champion with Burnley the season before.

Kompany also speaks German and played for Hamburg. Just like Xavi Alonso, who won the championship with Leverkusen this season, Kompany is a young trainer who has learned a lot from Guardiola.
