Debast announces transfer to Sporting

TRANSFERS The deal will not be officially announced until early July, but Zeno Debast (20) has already given it away: he is leaving for Portugal's champion Sporting Lisbon. Debast played for Anderlecht from his five years and had become a fixture in defense in recent seasons. Debast would fetch Purple White between 16 and 20 million (depending on bonuses).
 


"Ruben Amorim, together with his staff, took the trouble to follow me for months and I am convinced that he will help me further in my development as a professional footballer," Debast told Het Laatste Nieuws.

After the last league game, Debast went to Portugal to undergo his medical tests. However, the transfer is not yet complete, as according to the player, the clubs have yet to reach an agreement. In any case, he is convinced that he will play Champions League with Sporting next season.
