Agents earn 775,000 euros from transfer Debast

TRANSFERS In Portugal, clubs have the obligation to officially declare and disclose the financial arrangements in a transfer.  Sporting Lisbon thus did the same for the transfer of Zeno Debast. Among other things, we know that Anderlecht can catch up to 21 million euros and is entitled to a percentage on a future transfer.


 Sporting will pay Anderlecht a fixed transfer fee of 15.55 million euros. Based on Debast's individual performance and that of Sporting Lisbon as a club, 5.5 million euros in bonuses can be added to that.

The agreement between Sporting and Anderlecht also contains a clause stipulating that Anderlecht is entitled to 15 percent of the transfer fee if Sporting sells Debast. That percentage can drop to 10 percent if Sporting chooses to do so or based on the bonuses achieved.

In Portugal, it is customary to include a commutation fee in a contract as well. At Debast, this amounts to 80 million euros. But don't be surprised: those sums are set very, actually unrealistically, high by default.

A final figure that Sporting communicates is the amount that "mediation services" pocket on this transfer. That amounts to 775,000 euros.
