Diawara participates in Olympic Games

OTHER Anderlecht will have to do without Amadou Diawara for a few more weeks. The midfielder is part of Guinea's selection for the Olympics. He is already active at the tournament until July 30.


In the Olympics, the U23s of each country participate. Each team is also allowed to include in the 18-member selection three players who are older. With Guinea, Diawara is one of those three.

Guinea will play in the first round against New Zealand (July 24, Nice), France (July 27, Nice) and the United States (July 30, Saint-Etienne). The final will take place on Aug. 9.
