Riemer: ‘Proving ourselves in Europe’

‘There are definitely some tough opponents among them,' Riemer said. ‘I have played in Porto before with FC Copenhagen, now we meet them at Lotto Park, which will be a great experience. Real Sociedad have performed so strongly in Spain in recent years, that will be a good test to see where we stand. Also Hoffenheim from the Bundesliga will be a tough match.'

‘But I definitely see possibilities,' Riemer makes a strong case. ‘We are not here as tourists, we are here to compete and achieve something. It's that mentality we need to exude when we start our European campaign at the end of September. Placing ourselves for these European competitions is what we have been fighting for all season. Now we have the opportunity to prove ourselves in the Europa League.'
