RSCA Women through to next round

DAMES The RSCA Women have made an excellent start to the preliminary round of the Champions League. In Malta, they beat Red Star Belgrade 4-1. However, the group stage is not yet within reach.


After two minutes, the Serbs were down to ten players on the pitch, giving Anderlecht enough to push the accelerator before half-time. It was 2-0 through goals by Vatafu and Deloose. After half-time, Delabre and Vanzeir added another goal each. In extra time, Red Star still scored the 4-1.

In the next round, Purple White will take on the winner of FK Breznica (Montenegro) and Birkirkara FC (Malta). At half-time, it was 1-0 for the Montenegrins. But qualification in the next round is not yet an option at the pool stage. Then they also have to survive the two preliminary rounds, a preliminary round in which the RSCA Women fell in recent years.
