RSCA Women win the cup

RSCA Women won the Belgian Cup at the expense of Zulte Waregem, beating them 3-0 with two goals from IJzerman. The match was not yet ten minutes old when IJzerman was gifted a goal after Zulte's goalkeeper erred from a corner. That early lead proved ideal, and Vanzeir doubled the score on the half hour. After the break Zulte Waregem competed better, but IJzerman dashed their ambitions by making it 3-0 — Anderlecht's third headed goal of the afternoon. Read more »

For the second year running, RSCA Women have seen the title slip through their fingers. OH Leuven were crowned champions last weekend after a win in Bruges. Just like the men, the purple-and-white women must now try to salvage their season via the cup. Official: Sibierski is the new Sporting Director

As expected, 51-year-old Frenchman Antoine Sibierski has been appointed Anderlecht's new Sporting Director. He will take the reins of sporting policy across all professional teams and will also oversee the scouting and performance departments (first team, Futures and Women). Sibierski played as an attacking midfielder for Auxerre, Nantes and Lens, and later in England for Manchester City, Newcastle and Wigan. For the past two seasons he was Sporting Director at ESTAC Troyes; Troyes secured promotion to Ligue 1 this season. Read more »

RSCA Women also qualify for the cup final

Following the men's team, Anderlecht's women have also qualified for the Belgian Cup final. In the semi-finals this afternoon, RSCA Woman beat Club YLA 4-2. Andrea Bjarnadottir gave RSCA Woman an early 1-0 lead, and Stefania Vatafu doubled their lead with a placed shot into the top corner. The RSCA Women welcome a new addition. The team is strengthened by the arrival of Andrea Rut Bjarnadottir, who joins Anderlecht as the Purple & White prepares for the resumption of the championship against Zulte Waregem. The young 22-year-old midfielder joins a compatriot in Anderlecht: goalscorer Vigdis Kristjansdottir. Farid Goreishvand leaves RSCA Women

RSC Anderlecht has announced the departure of Farid Goreishvand, who will take charge of KAA Gent Ladies. Goreishvand, who joined the club in January 2024, has quickly established himself as a key figure in developing young talent. During his time at Anderlecht, he held various positions, including assistant coach of the first team and head of the Stellar program, before becoming head coach of RSCA Women in the 2024-25 season. Maerschalck signs with RSCA Women until 2028

15-year-old Esthée Maerschalck has signed her first professional contract with RSCA Women, running until 2028. She was trained at Olsa Brakel, where she played with the boys up to the U15 level. Her impressive performances haven't gone unnoticed: she was selected for the Red Flames' U17 team and participated in the summer pre-season with the RSCA Women first team. Maerschalck, who plays for RSCA Women B this season, has already scored five goals in eight matches. Read more »

No fewer than sixteen players from the club will be on the road representing their national teams in various competitions. Two key players, Laura Deloose and Tine De Caigny, have been selected for the crucial Nations League play-offs. RSCA Women against Austria Wien

The Anderlecht women know their opponent for the round of 16 of the Europa Cup: they will face Austria Wien from Austria. After an exciting qualifying round, in which Amélie Delabre scored the winning goal against Braga, RSCA Women are now preparing for the main tournament. The round of 16 is scheduled for November 11/12 (first leg) and November 19/20 (second leg). Austria Wien also had a difficult qualification: it eliminated Slavia Prague via a penalty shootout.
