TRANSFERS Anderlecht are under pressure after the disappointing draw against Westerlo, which resulted in criticism of the coach. A board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, where Jesper Fredberg and Brian Riemer will be up for discussion. Despite Riemer's mediocre performance, he will still be in charge during the match against Genk. The RSCA management will not take any hasty decisions and will carefully evaluate the situation.
Besides, tomorrow's board meeting has been scheduled for a long time and will not come as a result of the poor performance, so it is not a crisis meeting.
CEO Jesper Fredberg has yet to impress the leadership with his transfer policy. His only successful outgoing transfer was Zeno Debast, which means he now has to look for creative solutions for reinforcements. So he will have to provide the necessary explanations tomorrow.
The board of directors includes owner Marc Coucke, chairman Wouter Vandenhaute, Tomas Van den Spiegel and Patrick Lefevere.
In any case, Anderlecht's future remains uncertain, and the pressure on the coach and CEO will continue to increase. If Anderlecht loses to Genk and continues to disappoint on the pitch, Riemer's position does become very shaky and tensions will only increase.
