OTHER Anderlecht begin their European campaign at Lotto Park tomorrow night. After making his debut in the Belgian league, his foray into the Europa League now awaits interim coach David Hubert. Tomorrow's opponent is Hungarian team Ferencváros. During the press conference, the coach stated, ‘The supporters expect more from us. Right now, every game plays a crucial role in building the bond with our fans.'

‘I am here to take the first steps in the right direction. We have to keep improving,' he added.

‘We have watched a lot of videos. Unfortunately, we have limited time. But we strive for continuous improvement. Take, for example, our decisions in the last third of the pitch. Against Charleroi we had chances, but we failed to convert them into concrete opportunities.'

The new format of the Europa League is interesting, said the coach. It means more matches and more opponents, like in the Champions League. ‘Of course it is important to win this first match to advance to the next round,' he said.

Ferencváros is a team with many qualities, the coach stressed. ‘I got valuable information from Toszer and Toth, my former Hungarian teammates. They have a lot of speed on the wings, considerable experience in midfield and an excellent goalkeeper,' he echoed.
