Ryan Mason in pole position to become head coach

OTHER Young Englishman Ryan Mason (33) is the top candidate to become Anderlecht's new head coach, according to Het Nieuwsblad


Mason still played alongside Jan Vertonghen at Tottenham where he is currently the assistant coach. He was previously head of youth there and briefly took over when Mourinho was sacked. Despite his youthful age as a coach, Anderlecht are showing interest in Mason because of his vision and good reputation. He is, however, expected to work with David Hubert and the other staff members.

Anderlecht are also said to have heard from Alfred Schreuder (ex-Club Brugge and ex-Ajax), but he may not leave Al Ain FC.
