Mario Stroeykens has been one of the star players this season. Despite a place on the bench in the first game against STVV, something he was very disappointed about, he quickly grabbed a starting place. In this,Super Mario does not shirk his responsibility on the pitch: his relentless drive to win are an example for many others. But the way he reprimanded Mauves Army after the irregularities in Spain also testify to this. ‘But now we have to move forward again, with the support of all supporters,' he does stress.

In doing so, Stroeykens also sees the passivity of the season's start being quietly abandoned. ‘Leander Dendoncker's contribution to the team is important and I myself also strive to improve my own statistics,' he echoes.

For now, Stroeykens also refuses to talk about a possible transfer. He feels happy at Anderlecht and is also satisfied with the appointment of David Hubert as head coach. ‘He is delivering important and good work for the team,' the midfielder confirmed. Still, Stroeykens was initially a bit troubled by Brian Riemer's dismissal, about which he was disappointed. ‘But now I feel more and more comfortable with my new attacking role on the pitch. We are confident about what the future will bring,' he concludes.
