Hubert: ‘Dolberg is a top striker’

Anderlecht showed perfect efficiency at the Jan Breydel stadium yesterday. Kasper Dolberg once again proved to be the key player of the match. After his hat-trick against Tubize in the cup, he repeated this trick in the league. With eight goals in just ten days, he is now co-top scorer of the Jupiler Pro League.

Coach Hubert is pleased with recent developments. Dolberg is blossoming under the new coach. ‘Yes, of course, that's all thanks to me,' Hubert jokes. ‘No, the real credit goes to Dolberg himself and how he affects the games.'

In doing so, Hubert explains that there is intensive practice on attacking patterns where Dolberg is put in the ideal position. ‘It was, for his alertness, essential to involve him more in the game,' he echoes.

Under Riemer, Dolberg was often isolated. Today, he is playing football. Crosses come from the flanks or Stroeykens involves him in the centre. ‘He clearly feels more involved,' says Hubert.

‘I don't have to teach a top striker like Kasper Dolberg how to score goals. My role is to put him in situations where he can be decisive,' Hubert concluded.
