INTERVIEWS Kasper Dolberg again kicked two against the ropes against Gent. With ten goals, he is now top shooter in our league. “That's nice, but I don't really think that's important,” he said after the match. “Becoming top shooter is not the most important thing, but of course I want to keep scoring.”
What also stood out: Dolberg scored for the second home game in a row via a direct free kick. A rarity at Anderlecht, and in Belgian soccer in general in recent years. “However, I had some doubts when I took that free kick. The angle wasn't easy. But then I saw the wall and thought there was too much space not to try. I was surprised that their wall covered the goal so little.”
Clearly, Dolberg is in super form. “Scoring gives confidence and I am lucky to have confidence I what I do,” the striker said. “That I'm playing better now than I did under Brian Riemer? Some things have changed for me, but I'm not going to go into details about that.”
