Verschaeren no longer first choice

OTHER Yari Verschaeren, formerly undisputed key player under Brian Riemer, has gradually disappeared from the starting lineup under David Hubert. This led to questions in the media about his changing status. Although he will presumably start in the cup game against Westerlo, he does not remain the first choice. Coach Hubert stated, “We have more options in midfield.”
 


“We choose players based on their fitness, freshness and the style of play of the opponent,” it still sounded.

There is already plenty of speculation in the media, however, that Verschaeren could possibly be sold or leased in January. In any case, the club did not yet take an official position on Verschaeren's situation.
