OTHER Three months ago, David Hubert took over as Anderlecht coach. Het Laatste Nieuws took stock and notes that Hubert managed to win 63 percent of his matches. Since the take over in 2017, no coach did better. Also notable: the coach who won the least in his first three months is Vincent Kompany.
Hubert is the seventh coach to lead Anderlecht since Marc Coucke took ownership. The first was Hein Vanhaezebrouck. That one won 53 percent of his matches in the first three months of his coaching tenure, although that was still under the previous reign.
With that 53 percent, Vanhaezebrouck comes closest to Hubert's 63 percent. The previous five won less than half of their matches during their first three months in office.
Winning percentage
Hein Vanhaezebrouck: 53 percent (9 wins, 1 draw, 7 losses)
Fred Rutten: 38 percent (5 wins, 2 draws, 6 losses)
Frank Vercauteren: 36 percent (5 wins, 6 draws, 3 losses)
Vincent Kompany: 36 percent (4 wins, 5 draws, 2 losses)
Felice Mazzu: 45 percent (10 wins, 2 draws, 10 losses)
Brian Riemer: 44 percent (8 wins, 5 draws, 5 losses)
David Hubert: 63 percent (12 wins, 5 draws, 2 losses)
In terms of goal difference, Hubert is also doing much better than his predecessors. Since his arrival, Anderlecht scored 44 times and got 13 goals in. So a goal difference of +31. Mazzu and Riemer come closest with +6.
