OTHER Anderlecht did not yet pick up a single point in the three matches against Genk (2x) and Club Brugge. That is problematic given the high ambitions. It is striking how weak the team comes out in such top games and then gets overrun and played away. Coach David Hubert, however, is not worried yet.
“We are obviously going to analyze the match and see what went wrong. We gave away two avoidable goals. In such games, absolutely everyone has to perform top notch and that was not the case today,” it sounded.
However, Hubert is still optimistic: “We must not throw away all the good from the last few weeks after this one loss,” he echoed.
Hubert didn't want to know about fatigue, despite the fact that Anderlecht played more games than Genk: “We had a normal week. I don't blame fatigue at all. We are going to give the players a fatigue excuse,” he announced.
Finally, the coach is also keen to end the year on a positive note against Dender, a game in which Thorgan Hazard is likely to make his appearance. Possibly Sardella and Dreyer will also be there again, which means that the purple and white can count on a larger selection.
