Hubert: "A bad way to end the year"

INTERVIEWS David Hubert explained yesterday's unexpected defeat against Dender. He told the press what everyone could already observe during the match, namely that Anderlecht played a very weak second half and completely played into the hands of Dender's qualities.
 


Hubert noted that Anderlecht started far too weakly and soon had to fall behind which is very dangerous against Dender. He saw his team restore the balance with faster and better ball circulation. The second goal was an example of how Anderlecht wanted to hit Dender according to Hubert.

But the coach obviously also saw that they started far too sluggishly after halftime and did not reach the level of the last half hour before halftime. “Our first action happened only after 10 or 15 minutes in the second half,” Hubert said. “We made far too many mistakes and suffered too much ball loss in the build-up, so Dender could be dangerous quickly,” Hubert added. He realized that Anderlecht itself asked for trouble against Dender which is very strong on the breakout.

“This is a bad way to end the year” concluded a disappointed Hubert.
