Huerta comes to Belgium this week

TRANSFERS The transfer of César Huerta to Anderlecht is almost complete. That is what Mexican media and Het Laatste Nieuws report. The flank player would travel to Belgium later this week and then take his medical tests. There is no question of a rental; it would indeed be a final transfer.
 


On X, a Mexican journalist posted a video showing Huerta saying goodbye to the fans of his club UNAM Pumas. He will leave for Belgium later this week, it sounds.

Het Laatste Nieuws adds that Huerta will take his medical tests at Anderlecht after the New Year. A few days ago, it sounded from Mexico that Huerta would extend his contract with Pumas, which expires in June (so the club could capture a higher transfer fee), and Purple White would hire him first, but that is not an issue, according to HLN. Anderlecht would indeed take Huerta under permanent contract right away.

Huerta could sign a contract with Anderlecht until 2028 with an option for an additional year.
