Mendy possible successor for Zanka

TRANSFERS Het Nieuwsblad reports that Anderlecht is showing interest in Nobel Mendy of Betis Sevilla. Mendy is a 20-year-old central defender. He could become the successor to Zanka, should he leave for the US.

The transfer of Zanka to LA Galaxy would be completed soon, according to Het Nieuwsblad. Anderlecht already inquired with Betis about the transfer possibilities for Mendy. Both a final transfer and a rental with (mandatory) purchase option are among the possibilities.

Mendy played one game in the Copa del Rey and one in the Conference League this season. In the Primera Division, he was on the bench seven times but did not appear in action. Mendy came to Betis a year and a half ago from Paris FC. He is still under contract until 2027 and his market value is estimated at 1 million euros.
