Hatenboer will be difficult, but not impossible

TRANSFERS If Anderlecht really wants to attract Cedric Hatenboer, it will have to make some efforts. Excelsior has a hefty price on his head and there is also serious interest from the Netherlands. According to the Algemeen Dagblad, Anderlecht would have the best papers.



Anderlecht already made an offer of €1.5 million, but Excelsior would want €3 million. According to transfer journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Excelsior themselves leaked Anderlecht's offer hoping to get a higher price.

Besides Anderlecht, PSV and Feyenoord are also said to be very interested in Hatenboer. However, Het Algemeen Dagblad reports that Anderlecht currently has an edge. The interest of purple-white and PSV has existed longer than that of Feyenoord, which makes Hatenboer's appreciation of these clubs greater. At PSV, a transfer is less likely this winter because the core is already well padded.

Anderlecht would make a new bid today or tomorrow, according to the Algemeen Dagblad. Excelsior, however, would also hope to monetize Hatenboer now, but still rent him until the end of the season. The Rotterdam club is not thick on midfielders and can use Hatenboer well in the fight for promotion.
