DAMES RSC Anderlecht Women have brought in a new recruit to replace the departed Amélie Delabre. The Belgian club has transferred 19-year-old Icelandic striker Vigdís Kristjánsdóttir from Breiðablik Kópavogur, a club near Reykjavik. Dave Mattheus, Director of RSCA Women, stressed that Kristjánsdóttir's arrival fits well with the club's philosophy. “Vigdís is a player who can quickly integrate into the team, but she is also still young and has a lot of growth potential.
We want to bet on her development and prepare her for the next step in her career,” Mattheus said. Kristjánsdóttir has signed a contract that commits her to purple and white until June 2027.
