INTERVIEWS Joel Kana made his debut for the RSCA Futures on Saturday alongside his brother Marco. After the game, the two gave an interview together to rights holder DAZN. “This is what we dreamed of,” Marco gloated. “I am very happy and moved,” Joel complemented.
“It's really a blessing,” Marco began. “It's a dream! We dreamed of this. There are three brothers in our family. The third one (Cresus, born in 2011) is already eager to play with us. It really is a dream to play together, especially in professional soccer. I can only be proud of him. Because we worked very hard in the shadows. People don't see that, but he has worked and toiled. This really doesn't come by accident.”
Joel is a little less talkative, clearly still impressed by his debut: “I'm immensely proud. I'm still a little moved. I'm really very happy.”
Naturally, the interviewer wanted to know if they will ever play together on the A team. “Of course that's the dream. We're going to work for that,” Joel said. “It's the next step,” Marco concluded with a big smile.
