GAMES Anderlecht won 0-1 in Charleroi thanks to one good move. Purple White, which saw Edozie injured before the match and Dolberg out during the match, played weakly before halftime. After halftime, Vazquez provided the only goal on a cross from a strong substitute Angulo. Charleroi lacked quality to outplay the purple-white defense and so Anderlecht took three important points.
After the absence of Stroeykens, Verschaeren and Dao, it also saw Edozie drop out in the warm-up.

Continue reading Anderlecht did nothing in the first half and struggled against a physically strong and motivated Charleroi. They often played backwards and the midfield did not play soccer at all. Charleroi did not get any real chances, but a good Coosemans was needed on a shot by Rogelj. To make matters worse, Dolberg left the field injured in minute 37, hopefully not a bad injury. The score at halftime was logically 0-0.
After halftime, Anderlecht showed a little more attacking impetus, but without being dangerous. However, after the first real attack worthy of the name, Anderlecht took the lead. In minute 63', Angulo, who stepped in for Hazard, smoothly passed his opponent. His cross was tapped into goal at the far post by Vazquez, who was also playing well.
After the goal, Anderlecht had control and the 0-2 could have fallen in a messy phase on a corner. Charleroi tried to threaten via shots from distance, but the narrow lead kept things exciting. Anderlecht pulled off the victory, gaining some ground on Union and Club Brugge.
