YOUTH The RSCA Futures missed out on a second consecutive victory in Eupen after having to concede a draw (2-2) in the closing stages of the match. However, coach Jelle Coen expressed pride in the performance of his players. “With a little bit of luck, Sternal had put us ahead just before halftime. At that point it was also deserved,” Coen said, referring to the goal that ended up in the net via a defender.

“Although the final draw is not unjustified, it is still frustrating to lose two points in the last minutes of the game,” he echoed.

Nevertheless, the overall balance remains positive and Coen can be satisfied with his team's performance against the Pandas. “It's unfortunate that our lead evaporated shortly after halftime. This is a youth sin; we sometimes want to do too much right. This also applied to the second equalizer just before the final signal,” Coen added.

He acknowledged that the lack of experience played a role and stressed that Eupen is a strong, difficult to beat, opponent. “In the beginning of the season we lost similar games,” he concluded, still referring to the steps the Futures have taken since then.
