GAMES Thorgan Hazard day Anderlecht played a difficult game against Union. Despite some interesting moments in the first half, the 0-1 dashed the purple and white's hopes. Hazard noted that after this opening goal, there was no fighting spirit to be seen. The midfielder also expressed concern about the inefficiency in front of the opponent's goal; an returning problem.
Hazard obviously also talked about the many injuries that lead to an ever-changing squad and a lack of automaticity.
“In the locker room there is no talk of winning the title; other teams are currently performing better and have more potential,” the midfielder is honest.
“For the upcoming games of the regular league, it is crucial to get things right, especially with the Playoffs ahead. For our defeat in the Brussels derby, there are no excuses. The team simply should have performed better on the field,” it sounded.
According to him, fatigue was not a factor (Union played 120 minutes Thursday and Anderlecht only 90, ed.). According to Hazard, perhaps the less hectic will have a positive impact on the injury burden.
