OTHER Het Nieuwsblad published the amounts paid out as wages by clubs from 1A last season. With 42.3 million euros, Anderlecht is in fourth place. Club Brugge is in the lead. They paid just under 84.9 million euros in salaries last season.
42,297,399 euros. That's how much Anderlecht paid in wages last season. The players of the first team take the biggest bite, but the salaries of players from the Futures and ladies, staff members and (youth) trainers also count.
Het Nieuwsblad's research shows that Anderlecht's so-called Squad Spend Ratio was 52.2 percent last season. The Squad Spend Ratio is the ratio between the wages a club pays out to its sporting cell (players, trainers, etc.) and its net operating income. The Pro League wants it to be 70 percent from next season to be healthy. So Anderlecht is a very good student at the moment. It was once different.

Club Brugge, Antwerp and Racing Genk paid a larger amount in wages than Anderlecht last season.
