Former Anderlecht player Morioka stops playing soccer

OTHER Ryota Morioka is hanging up his soccer boots at 33. So reports Vissel Kobe, his latest club. Morioka played for Anderlecht from January 2018 to January 2019.


After a strong six months with Waasland-Beveren, Anderlecht brought Morioka to Anderlecht at the end of the winter mercato of the 2017-2018 season. With six goals in sixteen duels, he started strongly, but in the season that followed he didn't get much more action. So he moved to Charleroi in the winter of 2019, first on loan, then permanently.

Last August, Morioka swapped Charleroi for Vissel Kobe, where he began his career. That became unsuccessful, so he now decided to quit soccer.
