TRANSFERS Nicholas Rutgeerts, goalkeeper with the RSCA Futures, will play for KVK Tienen next season. The club from the Sugar City announced that news Sunday. The 19-year-old Rutgeerts has played for Anderlecht since he was eight years old and signed a professional contract in 2023.
In the past three seasons, Rutgeerts was on the bench 18 times for the Futures. He was allowed to come in once: on March 1, he played the second half against FC Liege. He then took four goals (2-4 loss).
KVK Tienen is currently fourth in the highest amateur class in Flanders. 35-year-old Mike Vanhamel is currently first goalkeeper there, but he is leaving for the season. Rutgeerts will have to compete Nail Moutha-Sebtaoui, also ex-Anderlecht, for a place under the crossbar. The 25-year-old Moutha-Sebtaoui was second goalkeeper this season.
