YOUTH The regular competition has concluded for Anderlecht's youth teams and the playoffs have now begun. This competition has no official status this year, as the results do not count in determining the champions. Nevertheless, it remains a valuable opportunity for the development of young players and a good indicator. This was already evident during the first day of competition, in which Anderlecht's U18 and U14 teams were in action.

The U18, who again brought a strongly rejuvenated team onto the field, achieved a 2-2 draw against Zulte-Waregem. The team called on a number of players from the U16 such as Ojea, Vertrepen, Onia-Seke, Debast, Biladi and Onehese. Mujangi Bia even came over from the U15.

There were also a bunch of absentees, namely: Vervloet (U23), Djondo (U23), Flies, Bentkib, Ede Eriyo, Bethume, Milisic and Bourard.
Despite a red card and thus a numerical minority, the team showed resilience and came back from a deficit to eventually equalize thanks to a goal by Onehese. Anderlecht had taken an early 0-1 lead though thanks to Ghale.

The U14, on the other hand, who were visiting the already crowned champions Standard, recorded a convincing 1-4 victory, with their technical superiority evident. Lambrechts, De Vincentis, Verhulst and Addou scored. By the way, the U14 also struggled with five absentees.

As part of the youth competitions, the U13 were active in the Netherlands (see previous news posts). The U15 traveled to Abu Dhabi for an international tournament.

So the first results of the playoffs are as follows:
U18: Zulte-Waregem - Anderlecht: 2-2
U14: Standard - Anderlecht: 1-4
