Hasi: "Bringing De Cat and Dao cautiously"

INTERVIEWS At the press conference, coach Hasi also talked briefly about Nathan De Cat, a promising 16-year-old player who is considered one of the biggest talents in Neerpede's youth academy. De Cat is normally included in the selection. However, Hasi stressed that it is important not to put too much pressure on the young player. “He is almost 2 meters tall and has talent and physicality, but he is only 16 years old,” Hasi echoed.


“He has already made a lot of progress as a midfielder with the RSCA Futures, but we have to be careful with his development,” Hasi said.

Also added to the selection in January was Elyess Dao, a speedy striker who currently trains with the A core but plays his matches with the Futures. Hasi recently saw the player in action during a U23 match and was impressed by his talent and speed, similar to that of Francis Amuzu. "Dao comes from the French second division, where he has not often played full matches. He needs time, but it is possible that he will soon make minutes in the first team," Hasi added.
