Anderlecht suddenly able to score again and wins easily

GAMES Anderlecht won big against Gent, just like in the league. This time it became 5-0 and 80% of the goals were scored by Dolberg. After the 1-0 (a gift from a weak Gent), purple-white started to play better and drew on the goals of the Danish striker who scored two in each half. Hopefully Anderlecht kept some goals for the important return game on Sunday in Gent.
Anderlecht started in good spirits, but it played too slowly and not accurately enough. It was Gent that got a first big chance through Samoise after a mistake by Hey. Anderlecht then picked up the pace anyway and got opportunities through Verschaeren and the industrious Edozie around minute 20.

Instead of leaving the ball to his goalkeeper, the Serb went running with the ball, but the clever Dolberg snatched the leather from him and scored into an empty Ghent goal. Five minutes later, Lopes' ball loss was the basis of a penalty kick error on Edozie. Dolberg finished the job for 2-0.
It also became 3-0 before halftime when Hey neatly headed Hazard's perfect corner kick into goal via Dendoncker's head. The defender was awarded the goal.

Anderlecht thus booked an unexpected victory, just like in the league against Gent. Until 1-0, the team did not play that great, but it did play better than the previous weeks.
