INTERVIEWS After the game, Kasper Dolberg was obviously very satisfied with the victory and the goals he scored against Gent. He also immediately admitted that they were not the hardest goals of his career. “I would certainly have liked to score three; I would not have been satisfied with less now. Only the fourth goal where I lightly deviated the ball with the head was maybe not so easy,” he echoed. The striker also admitted that there was a dose of luck involved.

“The three points are not only a boost to morale, but also have a positive effect on the standings for us,” Dolberg said. He also stressed that the way the victory came about was excellent.

Colin Coosemans, goalkeeper of RSC Anderlecht who speaks to the press after almost every match, was happy. He considers the victory against Gent an important boost for confidence within the team. He emphasizes that everything must be done to maintain fourth place in the league.

Personally, Coosemans has now played two games in a row without any goals against: “We are strong defensively, but I haven't actually had to do much. I hardly had to catch a ball; our defense neutralized all the danger,” he sprinkled praise for the players in the line in front of him. Nevertheless, the goalkeeper warns that big games are still on the agenda: “It is crucial to stay focused and keep collecting the necessary points,” he added.

Moussa N'Diaye echoed pretty much the same: “The victory will strengthen the team's self-confidence.” The left back feels that Anderlecht is currently rightly in fourth place, but even so, he still dares to look upward: “We have a firm grip on fourth place now, but who knows, maybe we can still move up one place. There are still important matches coming up including the crucial final of the Belgian Cup.”
