INTERVIEWS Besnik Hasi showed pride in his players after the victory against Ghent. He emphasized that his team maintained control of the match throughout the game. Hasi noted that there was a marked increase in offensive confidence, with a strong drive to play forward. A standout player was Danish striker Kasper Dolberg, who was traditionally allowed to receive the match ball.
Hasi was pleased with Dolberg's performance, especially given his return from injury. “We did not expect Dolberg to be at his best right away, but he made good use of the spaces and held the ball well,” Hasi said. The coach also indicated that earlier in training work had been done on positional play, which proved successful against Gent. Hasi decided to replace Dolberg after an hour of play: “We have another game coming up on Sunday. We definitely want to avoid new injuries and continue this positive line,” he said. Dolberg himself showed understanding for his substitution, by the way.
