Verschaeren: “I like my new position”

OTHER Yari Verschaeren was very satisfied with Anderlecht's win at Gent. “Little by little we are getting closer to the kind of soccer Besnik Hasi wants us to play,” the midfielder said. “We just have to avoid the mistakes we made in Gent.”


“This win and this 6 out of 6 feels really good,” Verschaeren said after the match. “We put in a solid performance against a team we knew would be very motivated.”

Remarkably, Verschaeren again played as number eight against Gent. “I've been doing this for a few matches now and I like it. In the first half I had to find my feet a bit, but after the break I got on the ball more and was able to distribute the game.”
