Hasi: “We are ready for Sunday”

INTERVIEWS Obviously nothing but joy for Besnik Hasi after the match at Antwerp. His little plan worked out perfectly: key players got some rest and an important competitor for fourth place received a solid blow. “This was the perfect scenario,” he said.


Hasi explained that he allowed some guys to rest because matches follow quickly. He was referring to N'Diaye, who has not long been back from injury, and Hazard, who had suffered a knock on Sunday. In addition, Simic was suspended. “I have to give credit to my starters today,” the coach said. “This was not easy because they have never played all 11 together before.” 

“In the first half, things didn't go so smoothly. At the break, we adjusted two things and then it went better. This is the perfect scenario: you keep your strengths and still take the three points.”

After a 10 out of 12, Anderlecht can now go to Sunday's cup final with confidence. “We are ready for it. The atmosphere is also getting better and better.”

Goal scorer Goto still fell out with an injury, but Hasi is not worried. “He will be fine.”
