Striker Zeqiri in the picture

TRANSFERS According to Het Nieuwsblad, Andi Zeqiri is on Anderlecht's list of candidate reinforcements. The 25-year-old striker is currently leased by Genk to Standard. There he scored ten goals and gave four assists in 28 games this season.


Anderlecht is taking into account a departure of Kasper Dolberg and/or Luis Vasquez. Hence, it is looking around the market for potential reinforcements for the striker. Zeqiri's work-rate is particularly impressive.

Standard has an option to acquire the Swiss from Genk for €2.8 million, but will not use that option. The Liege club cannot afford his salary. Besides Anderlecht, Borussia Mönchengladbach and some other clubs are also showing interest.

At Genk, Zeqiri scored seven times last season, but was mostly a substitute. The previous season he scored 11 goals for Basel in the Swiss league.
