OTHER Fabrice Cumps, the mayor of Anderlecht, is banning Club Brugge supporters from attending the Anderlecht match on May 18. After Sunday's riots, the mayor does not want to risk new problems.
After the cup final, there were riots between supporters during which 60 people were arrested and a lot of damage was caused. Club Brugge is providing all assistance in identifying the perpetrators, but the mayor of Anderlecht is thus not taking any risks. “The purpose of this decision is to protect both the residents and the supporters of RSCA,” Cumps said.
Anderlecht is playing at home against Club Brugge on the penultimate matchday of the Champion's playoffs, so this may be a crucial match for the Bruges fans.
