Kouamé named for return to Anderlecht

TRANSFERS Anderlecht is showing interest in Christian Kouamé, an Ivorian striker who currently plays on a rental basis with Empoli but is owned by Fiorentina. According to media house AfricaFootUnited, Kouamé, who previously played for Anderlecht between 2021 and 2022, could count on interest from Anderlecht and also SC Freiburg.


The Brussels club has already started talks with Fiorentina about a possible rental with an option to buy. At purple and white, they still have a positive impression about Kouamé because of his previous passage in Brussels.

However, the player's recent cruciate ligament injury casts a shadow over the negotiations and may affect the final price of his transfer. Kouamé's value is estimated at around six million euros, but both Freiburg and Anderlecht are hoping for a cheaper solution.
