Anderlecht pushes for 19-year-old Keita

TRANSFERS Anderlecht's interest in Zoumana Keita is indeed very concrete. Het Nieuwsblad writes based on German sources that purple-white will soon undergo medical tests and that he can then sign a contract. The central defender would immediately join the A-team.


Five years ago, 19-year-old Keita exchanged the youth of FC Cologne for that of Viktoria Cologne. Last summer, Keita, who has both Malian and German nationality, moved up to the A-team. After a few substitute appearances, he was in the starting eleven for the third division team for the first time on 12 March. He immediately made an impression, because several clubs showed interest.

At the end of December, Keita extended his contract with Viktoria Cologne until mid-2027. Transfermarkt increased his market value to 150,000 euros at the end of March, but given his performances since then, it will now be a lot higher again.
