Simic among nominees for Golden Boy Award

YOUTH Jan-Carlo Simic is one of the hundred nominees for the Golden Boy Award. With this trophy, Italian Tuttosport rewards the greatest talent under the age of 21. Simic is ranked 24 in the list.


Tuttosport made a shortlist of one hundred players. These are ranked from one hundred to one, with the number one deemed most likely to win the award. Yamin Lamal of Barcelona is unsurprisingly the number one. However, he will not win because he already won last year and it is not possible to get the prize twice.

In the top hundred we can find a few more players with a past with Anderlecht's youth: Mika Godts (66, now Ajax), Julien Duranville (78, now Borussia Dortmund) and Konstantinos Karetsas (82, now Racing Genk).
