'Future of Vandenhaute not an agenda item at board meeting'

OTHER The newspapers today give a little more clarity on the board meeting at Anderlecht tonight. Het Laatste Nieuws knows it was normally scheduled for July, but has been brought forward following the announced departure of Kenneth Bornauw at the request of some shareholders.


Het Nieuwsblad also gives Bornauw's departure as the reason for the meeting later on. The newspaper also reports that the future of chairman Wouter Vandenhaute is not on the agenda. According to the newspaper, there is “(for now) no support within the board of directors to push him aside at this time.”

Walloon transfer journalist Sacha Tavolieri had suggested only last night that during tonight's board meeting, the curtain may well fall for the chairman.
