Capital increase coming

OTHER Het Nieuwsblad write that Anderlecht is going to release additional capital to work on a competitive core. A capital injection of 14 million was already approved in 2023 but has not yet been implemented.


Yesterday, the board of directors met for a meeting at which the atmosphere was serene, according to witnesses. It was stressed again that the club must be able to operate again in stability and tranquility.

The future of the team was also discussed. Thus it was stipulated that Olivier Renard may spend a certain amount more than there is income from transferred players. The capital injection of 14 million could play a role in that. So that one was already approved, but not activated because Purple White were in slightly better shape financially. Another meeting of the board is scheduled soon, as other options to generate additional finances are also being considered.

Anderlecht will always consider a nice offer for one of the players. Since Anderlecht cannot count on the direct fat of the Champions League, it is currently trying to bet on younger players with (hopefully) a later high sales value like, for example, Simic last season.
